Fly Rod Tubes & Cases
At High Country Flies, we prefer to store our fly rods and reels together, leaving the reels fastened to the rod. If your rod is a 2-piece, you can even leave the line strung up on the rod. Simply reel your fly up to the tip top of the rod, break down the rod at the ferule and slide the ferule ends down the rod tube (which is the way it should always be done). Never place the tip of a fly rod into a tube first, always go ferule first.
We like the two side pouches found on every BW Sports fly rod tube, not to mention their excellent value. The Sage cases feature a nice fold-away reel pouch, weather resistant zipper, as well as legendary Sage quality.
Remember, modern graphite fly rods require the protection
of a solid rod tube for long life and insurance against
breakage.
